Quick Yarn Theif Update

So, I got a letter in the mail a few weeks ago. Michael F. Campbell, the guy who (allegedly) broke into my car last year and stole my knitting, my grandmas needles, rosary, camera, money, etc. has FINALLY officially been charged.
A few months after he broke into my car, he got arrested breaking into a house in a different county. Since he was a juvenile, they could not question him in that case, unless his mother consented. She did not consent. (May she wear itchy acrylic the rest of her damn life)
They just tried him for the home invasion, as an adult (he’s 17 I think). Now that he’s been charged once as an adult, he will always be charged as an adult. He goes to court for my case on April 21st.
The good news? He will be in jail for the next 10 years for the home invasion, before he’s eligible for parole. My car will probably get him another year or two.
The bad news? I will probably get granted restitution for the damage to my car (which I still haven’t been able to fix) and the lost items. But considering he’ll be in jail for the next 10 years… I’ll probably never see a dime.

huh. Guess that wasn’t a “quick” update.

This is what google told me:
